GBR crew almost finished the inventory for all Baths. All boxes are present. As of now, there are 2 decorative columns/legs from Master Bath 1A that they are still searching for.
FYI, Jesse and Rigo also worked with me on answering Michael Ni’s measurement requests.
Notice: We will need to re-order parts (flutes & baseboards) for the Dressings 1A & 2 for production mistakes. Zuli will provide drawings.
The guys came out today and sealed the:
1. Wokhy
2. Pantry
3. Informal Dining
4. Basement Kitchen
They first honed areas in Informal Dining room and then sprayed a “Solvent Based Fluoropolymer Impregnator” sealant that is for “water & oil protection for natural stone” (I checked the label). Then, they used a microfiber pad to mop and spread the sealant. The areas cannot be accessed until 24 hrs later – tomorrow around 1pm.
As of now, they will not charge us anything. They will be billing us on a per floor basis – basement, partial 1st floor, other part of 1st floor, and 2nd floor. Grinding for lippage removal, honing & 1st seal is at 75% of the cost, which = $1.70 per sq ft. The 2nd honing with polish & 2nd seal will be billed at 25% cost, which = $0.55 per sq ft, when ALL floors are complete.
Gonzalo & one other guy came out and worked on the basement hall floor today. He said they will finish tomorrow and then we will let it dry for 2 days.
I met with Ken, the hardscape supervisor from Valley Crest today. He brought in more samples from a supplier called, Brouget Brothers. These cobblestones are the closest we’ve found so far. I will be getting more of the same samples soon, but take a look at the pictures attached and see how similar they are.
Please see the drawing I sent you yesterday of the 4 columns Michael Ni proposed. We discussed it today once more and the only alternative is to have the 4 columns halfway inside of the building and halfway out of the building. However, this option will require us to get a permit, as it will be visible from outside.
Tentative for tomorrow:
Notice: GBR crew also needs to remove cabinets from 3 Dressing rooms in order to drill out for puck lights. The cabinet drawings called out for puck lights but the factory did not prep the boxes for them.
